Gunther Werks has unveiled the Brundle Edition Turbo, an 860-horsepower, air-cooled sports car developed in collaboration with former Formula 1 driver and Le Mans winner Martin Brundle and his daughter, automotive designer Charlie Brundle. Limited to just five examples, the special edition combines the company’s high-performance Turbo platform with bespoke styling inspired by Brundle’s international racing career.
Announced on October 21, 2026, in Huntington Beach, California, the Brundle Edition features a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six, six-speed manual transmission, motorsport-derived suspension and aerodynamic upgrades. The car will debut at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, though Gunther Werks has not disclosed pricing or a delivery schedule.
Martin Brundle and Charlie Brundle Collaborate on Exclusive Design
The Brundle Edition brings together two generations of motorsport experience and automotive design. Martin Brundle, whose career includes Formula 1 and victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, contributed to the car’s driving development, while Charlie Brundle led its exterior and interior design. Charlie previously worked with McLaren Automotive, Aston Martin and Jaguar Land Rover. For this project, she created an exclusive two-tone pearl livery inspired by her father’s distinctive racing helmet, incorporating personal references to his career throughout the vehicle.
The hand-painted exterior design extends into the cabin, with matching upholstery and details that connect the car to the Brundle family’s motorsport history. “To collaborate with Gunther Werks and to have my daughter lead the design means this project is deeply personal. We’ve poured our collective experience from the driver’s seat, the paddock and the design studios into this car,” said Martin Brundle.

Engine and Performance
At the heart of the Brundle Edition is Gunther Werks’ air-cooled 4.0-liter flat-six, producing 860 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque. The engine is calibrated for high-octane gasoline and sends power through a six-speed manual transmission. The Brundle Edition retains the analog driving character central to the Gunther Werks Turbo platform, pairing its high-output engine with bespoke double-wishbone suspension and track-focused chassis development. Dedicated Sport and Track calibrations were refined with Martin Brundle’s involvement to improve steering precision, responsiveness and driver engagement.
Brundle emphasized the car’s balance of performance and everyday usability as one of its defining characteristics. “For me, one of the most unique aspects of a Gunther Werks vehicle is that, despite having extreme race car performance, it is remarkably civilized and usable too,” he said.
Gunther Werks has not released acceleration figures, a top speed or a curb weight for the Brundle Edition.
Aerodynamic Upgrades, Brembo Brakes and Forged Magnesium Wheels
The Brundle Edition receives several performance-focused changes intended to complement its substantial power output. An adjustable high-downforce rear wing and front aerodynamic canards provide additional aerodynamic hardware, while an upgraded Brembo CCMR braking system uses forged billet calipers.
The car also features one-off forged magnesium wheels etched with Brundle branding. Gunther Werks describes the wheels as having motorsport pedigree, though it has not specified their dimensions or weight. Other exterior distinctions include smoked front LED indicators, smoked rear taillights, signature Brundle rear decklid lettering and exclusive Brundle Edition door sills. These elements distinguish the five-car series from the standard Gunther Werks Turbo.
Bespoke Interior Celebrates Martin Brundle’s Racing Career
Inside, the Brundle Edition incorporates personal references to Martin Brundle’s career as both a racing driver and motorsport personality. The dashboard carries his helmet insignia and the quotation:
“The most important bit of the car is the nut holding the steering wheel.”

Additional details include hand-signed dashboard end plates and a personalized MB monogram designed by Charlie Brundle and embossed into the headrests. The seat upholstery carries the exterior’s two-tone color treatment into the cabin, while a distinctive seat bolster label references the colors of Grand Prix cars driven by Martin during his career.

A bespoke key design completes the interior and ownership package. Each of the five cars will also be supplied with a Bell HP77 Formula 1-homologated helmet finished in matching colors and personally signed by Martin Brundle.

Five-Car Production Run and Wynn Las Vegas Debut
Gunther Werks has confirmed that only five Brundle Edition Turbo cars will be produced, making this one of the company’s most exclusive announced special editions. The car is scheduled to make its public debut at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas. The announcement does not specify the exact debut date, pricing, whether all five cars have already been allocated or when customer deliveries will begin. Further information is expected to be available through Gunther Werks’ official website.
