Porsche is expanding its North American Track Experience program for 2027 with two new driving courses dedicated exclusively to the Porsche 911 GT3. Offered at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama, the programs range from a $1,500 half-day drifting course to a $23,000 advanced driver-training experience.
The additions mark the first time Porsche Track Experience (PTX) has introduced an entire training program devoted to a single model. Both courses join the existing curriculum offered at Barber Motorsports Park and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California.
Porsche 911 GT3 Drift Course Starts at $1,500
The new GT Drift program focuses on vehicle control, particularly managing oversteer and maintaining control when the front and rear tires follow different trajectories. Priced at $1,500 per participant, the half-day course uses only the 911 GT3.
Instruction begins with a classroom introduction to vehicle dynamics before moving to skid-pad exercises. Participants then practice trail braking, vehicle rotation and controlled drifting in a supervised environment.

Masters GT Offers Three Days of Advanced Training
Porsche’s new Masters GT course is a three-day, invitation-only program reserved for graduates of the existing Masters RS curriculum. Priced at $23,000 per participant, it is the highest level of instruction Porsche Track Experience offers.
Training begins at the Barber Proving Grounds with advanced vehicle-control exercises. The following two days concentrate on racetrack driving, combining open lapping sessions with performance-data analysis and personalized coaching.

2027 Porsche Track Experience Locations and Pricing
Both new GT3-exclusive courses will run at Barber Motorsports Park, home to Porsche’s American driving school since it launched as the Porsche Sport Driving School in 2003. WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, which joined the program in 2026, will continue offering Porsche’s established training curriculum.
Existing courses will remain available at both locations, with pricing varying by venue. The one-day Precision program starts at $2,500 at Barber and $3,600 at Laguna Seca, while the two-day Performance course costs $5,000 and $6,700, respectively.
Three-day Masters training is priced at $6,600 at Barber and $9,200 at Laguna Seca. The more advanced Masters RS program costs $10,600 and $14,300, respectively.
Depending on the selected course, participants can drive Porsche models including the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0, 718 Boxster GTS 4.0, 911 Carrera GTS and 911 GT3. Program information, booking inquiries and additional details are available through Porsche’s official driving website.
More Options Than Before
The 2027 expansion introduces a more specialized approach to Porsche’s driver-training curriculum, letting participants focus exclusively on the 911 GT3 instead of switching between models. GT Drift provides a comparatively accessible introduction to advanced car control, while Masters GT targets experienced drivers seeking intensive circuit instruction.
For 911 GT3 owners and enthusiasts, the programs offer professionally supervised opportunities to explore the car’s handling characteristics and performance capabilities. The addition of two dedicated GT3 courses also broadens Porsche’s established North American track-training offerings.
