Top Gear recently got an early look at the Rezvani RR1, a car that takes a different path from the typical Porsche restomod. Unlike a classic Porsche 911 restomod, the RR1 starts with a modern 992 and reimagines it with design cues from the legendary Porsche 935 available in two versions.
The RR1 starts with a 3.0-liter Carrera, tuned from 385 hp to 591 hp and retaining rear-wheel drive. The RR1 750 builds on the 3.8-liter Turbo S platform, lifting output from 640 hp to 740–750 hp with all-wheel drive. Both feature larger turbos, revised mapping, intake and exhaust changes, and a carbon wide-body design modeled after the 935. The rear arches, shark-fin tail, fixed wing, and turbofan wheels reinforce the retro aesthetic, while the gun-barrel exhausts nod directly to Porsche’s motorsport past.
Inside, buyers can go stock or fully bespoke with carbon racing seats, custom upholstery, Heuer dash stopwatches, unique shift knobs, steering wheels with shift lights, and even a full roll cage. The key itself can be personalized. Options extend to Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes, center-lock wheels, and larger intercoolers—all while preserving the usability of a modern 911.
Rezvani, best known for its Tank and Vengeance SUVs, launched Rezvani Retro to reinterpret icons with modern platforms. The RR1 is its first project, priced from $195,000 for the wide-body and power upgrade, with complete builds typically reaching $450,000–$480,000.
