Now offered on Bring a Trailer, this 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 represents one of Singer Vehicle Design’s highly regarded Classic Turbo commissions. Founded in Los Angeles in 2009 by former Catherine Wheel frontman Rob Dickinson, Singer has earned an international reputation for transforming 964-generation Porsche 911s through meticulous engineering, modern performance enhancements, and handcrafted craftsmanship.
Every project begins with a complete disassembly to the original steel monocoque, which is reinforced before lightweight carbon-fiber body panels—including the hood, fenders, bumpers, and rear decklid—are installed. Black textured urethane components are retained for the front splitter, rocker panels, and lower rear valance to enhance durability.
Completed in 2025 and known as the “Limoncello” commission, this example celebrates Singer’s Classic Turbo program introduced in 2022 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the legendary Porsche 930 Turbo. Finished in striking Astatine Yellow, the car features satin black exterior trim, a factory-style sunroof, center-fill fuel cap, platinum Singer decklid script, gold Porsche crest, flared wheel arches, and the iconic whale-tail rear spoiler. Functional air intakes integrated into the rear quarter-panel shark fins improve airflow, while full-body paint protection film preserves the bespoke finish.
The cabin reflects Singer’s signature blend of vintage aesthetics and contemporary luxury. Four-way power-adjustable sport seats are upholstered in Olive Green leather with distinctive matelassé fabric inserts by Dedar, with matching materials extending across the rear seats, door panels, dashboard, and center console. Black-finished wood and satin-anodized aluminum trim provide elegant contrast, while modern conveniences include automatic climate control, power windows, wireless smartphone charging, a Porsche Classic infotainment system with integrated navigation, bespoke illuminated door sills, and a platinum Singer dashboard plaque.
Driver-focused details continue with a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel positioned ahead of Singer’s optional Floating Gauges instrument cluster. The centerpiece is an 8,000-rpm tachometer featuring an inset boost gauge, complemented by a 220-mph speedometer and Turbo-specific gauge graphics.
Power comes from a comprehensively rebuilt, air-cooled 3.8-liter flat-six equipped with twin turbochargers, electronically controlled wastegates, custom air-to-water intercoolers housed within the intake plenums, and a carbon-fiber cooling fan shroud. Singer rates the engine at 453 horsepower, delivered exclusively to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle.
A titanium exhaust system with polished outlets provides the soundtrack, while adjustable sport suspension, Brembo cross-drilled brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, and staggered 18-inch Fuchs-inspired wheels with Olive Green centers complete a package that seamlessly combines classic Porsche character with modern engineering excellence.
