Porsche has again topped the premium-brand rankings for driver satisfaction, earning the highest score among luxury automakers in the J.D. Power 2026 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study℠. The result marks the third consecutive year Porsche has ranked No. 1 among premium automotive brands in the industry benchmark and the sixth time the sports car manufacturer has claimed the top position since 2020. The Porsche 911 also finished first in the Premium Sporty Car category.
The APEAL results follow another strong showing for Porsche in the J.D. Power 2026 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS)℠. In that study, Porsche ranked highest among all automotive brands, taking the top overall position as well as first place in the Premium Brand segment.

Porsche recorded an APEAL score of 896 on the study’s 1,000-point scale, up six points from the previous year and three points above the premium-brand average of 893. Within the Porsche lineup, the Panamera posted the brand’s highest individual model score at 910 points. The annual APEAL Study examines owners’ emotional attachment to and enthusiasm for their vehicles, evaluating key elements of the ownership experience including comfort, convenience, technology, safety, connectivity and everyday usability.
The 2026 study is based on responses from 78,514 owners of new 2026 model-year vehicles surveyed after 90 days of ownership. J.D. Power conducted the study from June 2025 through May 2026, covering vehicles registered between March 2025 and February 2026.
