The Gunther Werks 911 Speedster is a reimagined tribute to the Porsche 993, blending the purity of analog driving with cutting-edge materials and performance technology. Handbuilt in Huntington Beach, California, it features full carbon fiber bodywork, active coilover suspension by DGR, Brembo brakes, an upgraded 6-speed manual transaxle, and a custom 4.0L flat-six engine by Rothsport Road and Race.
Listed for sale on PCARMARKET, this particular car—codenamed “Gin Tree”—is the first customer-delivered Speedster from a limited 25-unit run. Starting from a 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera 2 Cabriolet, the donor car’s chassis was fully restored and reinforced for double the rigidity of a stock 993 Coupe.
The carbon fiber body is finished in “Gin Tree Green,” inspired by Porsche’s Oak Green Metallic. Highlights include a carbon windscreen frame, billet nickel mirrors, and handles, dual roll hoops, a carbon ducktail spoiler, bi-LED headlights, LED taillights, mesh grilles, yellow Porsche script on green stripes, yellow Brembo calipers, and 18” two-piece forged magnesium wheels with titanium hardware.
Inside, the two-seat cockpit showcases green leather and Alcantara with yellow accents, carbon fiber bucket seats, an Alcantara-wrapped carbon steering wheel, and aluminum components throughout. Amenities include air conditioning, Porsche’s Classic infotainment unit, and a rose gold tachometer bezel.
The rebuilt 4.0L flat-six produces 430 HP and 330 lb-ft, mated to a revised Getrag G50 gearbox with custom gearing, a single-mass flywheel, and a carbon limited-slip differential. The Speedster rides on a widened track with active coilovers, uprated suspension components, and GTR-spec Brembo brakes featuring slotted discs and braided lines.
