Current Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupe – Ultimate Guide
The 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupe takes the same powerhouse formula as its SUV sibling and wraps it in a sleeker, more aggressive design. You still get the same bonkers 729 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque, the same plug-in hybrid system, and the same wild performance, but in a body that trades a bit of practicality for style and sportier flair.
At its core, the Coupe version shares everything that makes the Turbo E-Hybrid SUV such a performance standout. Power comes from a revised 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 making 591 horsepower, paired with a 174-hp electric motor. Together, they deliver muscle-car-level acceleration with the benefits of an EV for daily commuting. It hits 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and keeps pulling to a top speed of 183 mph.
The hybrid system adds efficiency and flexibility. The updated 25.9-kWh battery means real-world electric range has improved over previous models, often reaching close to 30–40 miles on a full charge, depending on driving style. With a new 11-kW onboard charger, topping off the battery from a home wallbox takes just under two and a half hours. For urban use, you can drive it around as a silent, zero-emissions EV. And when the road opens up, the V8 roars back to life without missing a beat. This dual nature makes the Coupe especially interesting.
It’s less about practicality and more about making a statement, and that design change makes a real difference. The lower roofline gives it a more athletic stance and sculpted rear end, with a roof-mounted spoiler that adjusts based on speed. The cabin layout stays familiar, but rear headroom is slightly tighter than the SUV, and cargo space is trimmed down too. Still, it’s enough for weekend trips or groceries, and that sloping silhouette is what sells it for many.
On the handling front, the Coupe benefits from all the same mechanical upgrades as the SUV, including the standard adaptive air suspension with Porsche’s new two-chamber, two-valve tech. This system lets the suspension independently adjust compression and rebound, creating an impressive range between comfort and sport settings. The result is a surprisingly smooth ride around town, but also sharp, responsive behavior when you push it.
In fact, the coupe really shows its character on twisty backroads or spirited highway stints. Optional features like Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and rear-axle steering help mask the nearly 5,700-pound curb weight. The Coupe feels planted and nimble in corners, especially in Sport Plus mode, where the body lowers and the suspension stiffens. Steering is light but precise, and with Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (standard here), the rear wheels actively help the SUV rotate through turns.
Visually, the Turbo E-Hybrid Coupe gets all the cues you’d expect from a top-tier Porsche. A Turbo-specific front fascia with gloss black air blades, aluminum dual exhaust tips, red brake calipers, and painted wheel arches all give off a purposeful vibe. The more rakish roofline and unique rear-end treatment just add to the drama. This is the model aimed at buyers who want performance and want to be seen in it.
Inside, the Coupe retains the same sporty yet luxurious interior touches found in the SUV. Race-Tex headliner, aluminum trim on the dash and doors, a heated GT Sport steering wheel, and standard 18-way leather Sport seats come included. For those wanting a softer ride, Porsche also offers 14-way Comfort seats as an option. The layout feels modern and high-tech, with a clean digital instrument cluster, responsive infotainment, and a new 15-watt wireless charger built into the center console.
As with all 2024 Cayennes, the Coupe comes equipped with HD-Matrix Design LED headlights, Porsche’s latest infotainment interface, and Comfort Access. While this is a performance machine first and foremost, it’s also a fully loaded luxury SUV with everyday amenities to match.
So where does the Coupe stand compared to the SUV? Ultimately, it comes down to style and taste. The Coupe version gives up a little rear-seat headroom and cargo space for a sleeker profile and a more dynamic presence. If that trade-off suits your lifestyle, the Coupe arguably feels like the more focused package: it’s more assertive in both design and intent.
But there’s also no getting around the weight. Like the SUV, the Coupe carries all that hybrid hardware and luxury trim, which adds up. While the chassis tech keeps it in check under most conditions, you do notice the heft when slowing to a stop or maneuvering in tight spaces. The brake feel, in particular, can be a little inconsistent as it blends regenerative and friction braking. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it takes a bit of getting used to.
Still, the Turbo E-Hybrid Coupe is one of those vehicles that’s almost ridiculous in how much it offers. V8 power, electric torque, a sleek fastback shape, and the badge to match. It’s absurdly quick, strangely efficient (under the right conditions), and packed with all the comfort and tech you’d expect from a six-figure Porsche.

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid SUV and Coupe
Porsche presents the most powerful Cayenne of all time
Porsche is presenting the most powerful Cayenne yet; the Turbo E-Hybrid. Available in SUV and Coupe body styles, the new model produces 729 horsepower and offers superior performance, with a high degree of everyday usability.
- Turbo E-Hybrid model replaces previous Turbo variant
- V8 and E-Motor develop 729 hp and 700 lb.-ft. of system power
- New hybrid technology for quicker charging and greater electric range
Atlanta. After the introduction of the third generation Cayenne earlier this year, Porsche is expanding the model line with a new variant. As in the previous model generation, the most powerful Cayenne is powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain. On the new Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, Porsche has further improved the hybrid technology and improved electric range and power significantly, which benefits both everyday usability and performance. An electric motor generating 174 hp supports the extensively revised four-liter V8 twin-turbo engine making 591 hp. Combined, the total system output is 729 hp and 700 lb-ft. of torque. The resulting performance reflects the Cayenne’s ambition to be the sports car among SUVs. The Turbo E-Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and on to a top track speed of 183 mph.
Compared to its predecessor, the new Cayenne E-Hybrid models feature a significantly larger high-voltage battery (25.9 kWh), which is mounted underneath the trunk area. The new 11-kW on-board charger can reduce the charging time to less than 2.5 hours using a suitable wallbox or charger, in spite of the increased battery capacity.
Air suspension with two-chamber and two-valve technology as standard.
The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid models include an adaptive air suspension system that features new two-chamber, two-valve technology as standard. This allows separate adjustability of both compression and rebound settings. The advantages of this setup are an improvement in comfort and handling and expanding the breadth between the Comfort and Sport Plus settings of the system. The suspension aims to combine precise handling during spirited driving with a comfort-oriented setup when cruising, and the best possible reduction of dive and squat motions when accelerating and braking. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) is also included as standard on the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid. Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) as well as rear-axle steering can be ordered as options at an extra cost.
The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid models complement their high level of power and chassis upgrades with distinct styling cues. Both body styles feature a Turbo-specific front fascia with larger air intakes and air blades kept in high-gloss black. The wheel arches as well as the lower rear fascia are painted in body color, underscoring the performance-oriented look. Further model-specific accents include two dual exhaust tailpipes made of brushed aluminum and red brake calipers.
Inside the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, aluminum trim on the dash and doors as well as a roof liner in Race-Tex generate a sporty ambiance. Standard equipment encompasses a heated GT Sport steering wheel with a switch to select the preferred drive mode as well as 18-way adjustable leather Sport seats. Alternatively, 14-way adjustable leather Comfort seats can be selected as well.
Extensive standard features
The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid also benefits from all the upgrades introduced on the 2024 Cayenne models earlier this year. This includes the newly designed HD-Matrix Design LED headlights, a more powerful 15-watt air-conditioned induction-charging pad, a digital instrument cluster with a curved and free standing design that offers multiple settings for information, and Comfort Access all as standard.
