There was something about the 1980s that made leaving well enough alone seem almost irresponsible. A standard Porsche 930 Turbo—with its swollen rear fenders, tea-tray spoiler and reputation for rearranging the scenery if you lifted off the throttle at the wrong moment, was apparently not quite dramatic enough.
