Porsche’s latest evolution of the 911, the 992.2 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid, has proven its performance credentials with an impressive lap time of 7:18.78 around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Piloted by sport auto test driver Christian Gebhardt, the hybrid-assisted GTS demonstrated its capabilities on the 20.6-kilometer circuit.
This lap time places the new GTS T-Hybrid deep into serious sports car territory, just a few seconds behind the naturally aspirated 992 GT3. The result also positions the GTS T-Hybrid among the quickest non-GT 911s to lap the Green Hell.
The GTS T-Hybrid marks the first time a production 911 road car has used hybrid power, combining a 3.6L flat-six engine churning out 478 horsepower on its own and two electric motors that combined deliver a whopping 534 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque, propelling the car from 0-62 mph in just 3 seconds and a top speed of 194 mph.
