World’s Fastest Porsche 912?

300hp classic Porsche mixes the old with new

The debate over converting a classic Porsche to electric power versus preserving it stock divides enthusiasts, AS IT SHOULD! Purists argue that keeping it stock maintains the car’s historical integrity, preserving the unique mechanical feel, engine sound, and character that define Porsche’s legacy and signature driving experience. For them, altering the drivetrain erases its identity and diminishes its collector value.

Conversely, advocates for electrification emphasize sustainability, enhanced acceleration, and practicality in modern driving conditions. They see conversions as prolonging the car’s usability while embracing current technology and a “green” lifestyle. Ultimately, the decision reflects personal preference, which brings us to one man’s vision of the classic Porsche 912.

First on the Block

It’s a first-of-its-kind, a game changer with over 500 electric horses. Fresh period-correct Irish Green, rolling on custom Magnus Walker wheels. This iconic Porsche 912 packs a Tesla Model S P85 motor. There’s a reason why Porsche chose Irish Green for its One Millionth 911. It’s a classic mercurial color. Depending on the light, Irish Green reads anywhere from a bright Kelly green to a dark emerald hue and everything in between. On the outside, it’s a sleeper, stock 1968. But unlike every other classic 911/912, this one actually has a rear trunk. Plus some modern amenities inside, like heated racing seats and a touchscreen display. It looks like the best of yesterday but drives like a modern sports car.
