This road-legal Porsche 996 Cup car offers a raw racing experience with just enough modifications to make it usable on public roads. Originally built for one-make Carrera Cup competition, this Japanese-spec example stands out with details like Yokohama Advan wheels, semi-slick tires, and a fully welded roll cage.

Power comes from a 3.6-liter Mezger-based flat-six producing around 370 horsepower, paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The stripped interior features a racing bucket seat, Motec electronics, and a quick-release steering wheel, while the suspension and brakes are pure motorsport hardware. Even practical concessions are minimal—there’s no handbrake, fixed windows, and very limited steering angle.

Despite its track-focused design, the car retains license plates, showing how some race cars in Japan are converted for street use. On the road, it feels intense and mechanical, with a loud drivetrain and razor-sharp responses. It may not be exceptionally fast in a straight line, but its grip, balance, and unmistakable flat-six sound deliver an authentic racing experience every time it’s driven.
