Listed for sale on Sotheby’s Motorsport, this 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster is the 1,000th of just 1,948 examples produced worldwide, created to commemorate Porsche’s 70th anniversary and honor the 1948 Porsche 356 “No. 1” Roadster. Based on the 991.2 generation, the Speedster combines elements from the revered GT3 and 911 R to create one of the most distinctive modern interpretations of the open-top 911.
At its core is a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six paired exclusively with a six-speed GT manual transmission, delivering the analog character enthusiasts expect from a purist-focused Porsche. The lightweight manually operated fabric roof and sculpted clamshell tonneau reinforce its traditional Speedster identity, while the low-cut windshield and distinctive double-bubble rear streamliners provide an unmistakable visual connection to earlier generations.
Finished in Guards Red over a black leather interior with red stitching, this example has accumulated just 1,324 miles. Further interior enhancements include aluminum pedals and footrest, leather-covered transmission tunnel, dashboard, steering-column casing, door surfaces, and sun visors.
