Porsche Reveals 911 GT3 “Bergsport”

Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur to limit production to 100 worldwide

From the former sawmill in Gmünd, where the first Porsche sports cars took shape beneath the Austrian Alps, to the mountain passes that helped define the brand’s earliest road and racing cars, Porsche has long been closely tied to the Alps. Now the company is celebrating that connection with the GT3 Bergsport, a 100-car market edition for Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland.

Based on the current 911 GT3 with Touring Package and created by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, the GT3 Bergsport pairs the GT3’s low weight, precise handling and mechanical feedback with design details inspired by the Alpine landscape. The car will make its world premiere at the Arosa ClassicCar hill climb in Switzerland on 3 September. Porsche Brand Ambassador Jörg Bergmeister will drive the special edition over the 7.3-kilometer course, which climbs 422 meters through 76 corners.

Inspired by the colors and light of the Alps

A new exterior color, Valleygreenmetallic, was developed specifically for the GT3 Bergsport through the Paint to Sample Plus program. Its deep green tone reflects the Alpine landscape, while gold metallic particles add a sparkle intended to recall fresh snow in sunlight. The Lightweight Package replaces the magnesium wheels normally included with forged aluminum wheels, providing greater durability for demanding mountain roads. A front-axle lift system helps negotiate steep ramps and uneven surfaces, while a 90-liter fuel tank extends touring range. The forged aluminum wheels are finished in satin White Gold and Ceramica, colors inspired by snow-covered peaks, while orange brake calipers evoke alpenglow, the reddish light seen on Alpine summits around sunrise and sunset.

Other exterior details include tinted HD-Matrix LED headlights and a checkered-flag motif on the front luggage compartment lid inspired by the 908 Bergspyder. A B-pillar badge carries the inscription ‘GT3 Bergsport’, with a Ceramica border and raised White Gold lettering on a high-gloss black background. A larger circular emblem on the engine cover incorporates four Alpine peaks representing the four countries where the car will be offered, along with a winding mountain road. Porsche will also mark the launch with a special edition of Curves Magazine limited to 1,000 copies.

An interior shaped by the mountain theme

The Alpine color scheme continues inside, where the folding carbon-fiber bucket seats feature bespoke Valleygreen leather. Despite the car’s emphasis on driving, the GT3 Bergsport also includes rear seats. Orange stitching and embroidered ‘GT3’ lettering on the headrests echo the exterior’s alpenglow theme. Additional orange accents appear on the start switch, accelerator pedal, 12-o’clock steering-wheel marking, manual gear lever and Sport Chrono Package with Porsche Design GT Clock. Black-and-white cross-stitching on the doors and upper dashboard forms stylized mountain silhouettes. The interior also includes the Light Design Package and BOSE® Surround Sound System.

The GT3 Bergsport emblem is embossed on the leather center-console lid, while the key, leather key pouch and documentation wallet receive matching colors and logos. The GT3 Bergsport combines the performance of the current 911 GT3 with styling rooted in Porsche’s Alpine heritage. Rather than recreating a historic model, it captures the qualities that shaped Porsche’s earliest cars on the demanding mountain roads of the Alps.

Accompanying Porsche Lifestyle collection

Porsche Lifestyle will offer a collection of GT3 Bergsport products, including 1:43- and 1:18-scale models, caps, thermal travel mugs, Porsche crest key rings and themed hoodies. The collection will also include GT3 Bergsport skis produced by Austrian sporting-goods company HEAD. They are scheduled to launch for the 2027/2028 winter season.
