Porsche Of The Day: 1970 Porsche 911 Coupe RSR-Style 3.0L

This 1970 Porsche 911 is a one-of-a-kind creation commissioned by Orbit Racing for a complete RSR/outlaw-style restoration, resulting in an uncompromising custom build. The car has undergone a full refinish, now sporting a modern Audi color of Nardo Grey with black trim pieces, creating a monochromatic look. The 911 boasts modern projector-style headlights, RSR-style bumpers, welded steel fender flares, a center-fill hood, a bullet-style mirror, and a fiberglass-Kevlar rear ducktail. The car also comes equipped with a set of Magnus Walker Fifteen52 wheels that are dressed in Michelin tires.

The black leather interior has been tastefully customized, featuring grey/red tartan cloth inserts that span the seat centers, door trim, and dashboard. Red piping can be found along the dashboard and steering wheel, along with matching seatbelts. Upgraded equipment includes a custom shifter and ball, an Abarth steering wheel, aluminum window cranks, an improved air conditioning unit, and a Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) head unit.

Powering the car is a 3.0 911SC motor that was fully rebuilt by Orbit Racing, producing an output of 250 HP. The motor features PMO carburetors and is paired with a 5-speed 915 manual gearbox. Performance enhancements include an Elephant Racing suspension, a Tarett swaybar, a Stage 2 magnesium oil pump, and Bilstein shocks.
