Listed for sale on Bring a Trailer, this 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster is a limited-production celebration of Porsche’s 70th anniversary and a modern interpretation of the marque’s original 1948 356 “No. 1” Roadster. Production was capped at 1,948 examples worldwide, directly corresponding with Porsche’s founding year, making the Speedster one of the most distinctive and collectible derivatives of the 991.2 generation.
Developed around driving purity, the Speedster combines a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six with a six-speed GT manual transmission. The engine delivers the high-revving character associated with Porsche’s GT cars, while the Speedster’s chassis incorporates Porsche Active Suspension Management, Porsche Stability Management, and rear-axle steering as standard. This example is additionally equipped with a front-axle lift system for improved clearance in everyday use.
Visually, the Speedster is defined by its shortened, low-cut windshield, lightweight manually retractable soft top, and carbon-fiber rear clamshell with twin-bubble streamliners. Finished in GT Silver Metallic with a black soft top, this example also features body-color side skirts, black LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System, and the Heritage Design Package with its exterior trim deleted.
The car is #1,886 of 1,948 produced for the 2019 model year and rides on forged 20-inch GT3-style center-lock wheels wrapped in Dunlop tires. Behind them are Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes with cross-drilled rotors and Porsche-branded calipers.
Inside, the two-seat cabin combines black and Cognac leather with carbon-fiber full bucket seats fitted with aftermarket plaid inserts. The specification includes the Chrono and Light Design packages, Porsche Communication Management with navigation, Voice Control, Bose surround sound, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and aluminum pedals.
