Kirkland residents were treated to a highlight of summer when the Porsche Club brought their best to the waterfront. It’s a display of Porsche history and current street models mixed with a few cars that serve track duty on weekends. 130 cars were registered assuring presentation of at least one of most interesting years and models.
This year the club placed the cars by color since color seems to have a strong effect on valuation. The color that didn’t sell in the 1980’s for example, commands a high value in today’s market simply because you can’t find one.
Presentations by Nathan Merz
“When you order a new one, choose one your wife refuses to be seen in and you are guaranteed to experience the most appreciation” says MC and Porsche collector, dealer, and all-around guru Nathan Merz. His choice is something he called “Puke Green or was it Puke Orange?”
Would you buy a car from this man? A lot of people do and they depend on him to steer them in the right direction. You would think a pretty car would be worth more, but what do I know compared with Nathan’s vast mental library and experience?
Noteworthy Cars at the All Porsche Grand Display

You can’t buy a new 2022 911 off the showroom floor. They are all spoken for and bought off a factory color pallet or a color match, therefore they all are bespoke cars and it’s doubtful you can find one with minimal options. What’s another $30K when you are making an investment? And you can drive it.

No Porsche was left behind as every major model was seen on display from 1950s-era 356s to models from 2022.

They were all there, including various Cayman derivatives, like the front engine 928, 944, 962. If you couldn’t find something to like here… you know what? Never mind. You would have. You’re on Stuttcars.
