Now listed for sale on Collecting Cars, this remarkable Porsche-based creation represents a radical reinterpretation of the air-cooled Porsche 911 (993 generation). Conceived as a bespoke “9RS Prototype” art-car in collaboration with the Stilbruch project, the car blends motorsport-inspired engineering with a highly individualized visual identity, drawing influence from Porsche’s legendary RS models while introducing a distinctly contemporary artistic character.
At its core is a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter air-cooled flat-six engine producing a reported 300 horsepower. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox, preserving the engaging driving experience that defines classic 911s. The build extends far beyond cosmetic changes, encompassing substantial revisions to the chassis, suspension, braking system, aerodynamics, and cabin.Co
The exterior combines steel rear arches sourced from a Porsche 964 Turbo with extensive carbon-fiber bodywork, including the front wings, bonnet, bumpers, engine cover, side skirts, and other bespoke components. F-model-inspired lighting details and a ducktail rear spoiler further reinforce the car’s retro-racing aesthetic. The one-off Stilbruch manga-style livery in blue, black, and orange ensures the car stands apart from any factory-built 911.
Inside, the cabin has been completely retrimmed in Cinnamon leather with Pepita cloth upholstery and beige woven carpets. Carbon-fiber-backed Recaro Podium seats, a Momo steering wheel, Porsche Classic infotainment, wireless phone charging, and a hidden premium audio system modernize the interior while retaining a handcrafted feel.
Performance upgrades include Bilstein adjustable coilovers, H&R anti-roll hardware, reinforced suspension mounting points, a carbon-fiber strut brace, a Brembo GT braking package, LED lighting, and a titanium exhaust. Riding on 18-inch Fuchs-style wheels with Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 3 tires, this 9RS Prototype emerges as a striking fusion of air-cooled Porsche heritage, bespoke craftsmanship, and contemporary automotive art.
