SoulDrives pushes a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 (991.1) through 27,000 kilometers of year-round driving, proving its all-weather capability. The manual, widebody all-wheel-drive 911 tackles snow-covered mountain roads at -4°C with impressive grip, even in Sport Plus with traction control off. From repeated runs through the Black Forest to alpine road trips across Austria, Switzerland, and the Dolomites, the car handles wet, dry, and icy conditions with equal confidence.
As a daily driver for 11 months, it has been consistently reliable. Minor issues included a faulty high-pressure fuel pump, a leaking front axle, and a failed spoiler brake light—all resolved under warranty. Otherwise, it has required little attention despite frequent spirited use and long-distance travel.
Performance is strong and accessible, though long gearing dulls low-speed punch in second gear, often requiring a shift to first for maximum exit torque. The flat-six delivers its best character near redline, with crisp auto-blipped downshifts and a GT3-like rasp.
