Introduced in 2011, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 marked the final and most advanced version of the 997-generation GT3. The RS 4.0 was built upon the GT3 RS, featuring extensive lightweight components: a carbon fiber hood and fenders, polycarbonate rear windows, a glass-reinforced decklid, front canards, flared arches, and a fixed rear wing with unique plates.
Powered by a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated Mezger flat-six, it borrowed the longer-stroke crankshaft from the RSR race car and produced 500 horsepower with 339 lb-ft of torque. Performance figures included 0–60 mph in 3.5 seconds, a top speed of 193 mph, and a Nürburgring Nordschleife lap of 7:27. Production was limited to 600 units.
This example is finished in Carrara White with silver accents and racing stripes, complemented by 19-inch center-lock wheels refinished in GT Silver. Exterior equipment includes bi-xenon headlights with Dynamic Cornering, LED lighting, titanium exhaust outlets, and red brake calipers.
Inside, carbon fiber bucket seats with red belts are paired with black leather and Alcantara, highlighted by silver stitching and carbon trim. RS 4.0 embroidery, red door pulls, carbon door sills, Porsche Communication Management, Sound Package Plus, climate control, and a numbered plaque complete the cabin.
Mechanically, the car features forged pistons, titanium rods, an RSR crankshaft, a single-mass flywheel, a 6-speed manual gearbox, a limited-slip differential, Dynamic Engine Mounts, PASM, adjustable coilovers, and cross-drilled brakes with 6-piston front calipers. A Porsche dealer serviced the car in August 2025, addressing fluid levels, filters, spark plugs, and other necessary maintenance items.
Offered with two keys, books, a toolkit, a window sticker, a clean CARFAX, and a title, this GT3 RS 4.0 has had just two owners. Originally delivered by Porsche San Diego, it remained with its first owner until 2023, was later acquired privately, before being publicly offered for sale on PCARMARKET for the first time.
