DriveMag reviews the turbocharged Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet, which features an all-wheel-drive system paired with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six. Exterior updates include new front air ducts, redesigned headlights with four-point DRLs, larger mirrors, flush door handles, and a rear light strip that emphasizes its 1.73-inch wider rear compared to RWD models.
The Carrera 4 Cabriolet produces 370 bhp, reaches 0‑62 mph in 4.5 seconds (4.1 seconds with PDK), tops out at 179 mph, and achieves up to 36.6 mpg with the dual-clutch transmission. Performance remains close to the coupe, despite the open-top design.
Inside, changes are subtle but functional: a redesigned, thicker steering wheel inspired by the 918 Spyder, a knob for Sport modes with the optional Sport Chrono Package, a 7-inch touchscreen, upgraded PCM connectivity, and a smartphone-style navigation system with handwriting input.
Handling is sharp and secure thanks to Porsche Traction Management, rear-biased torque distribution, PASM adjustable dampers, and precise electromechanical steering. The Carrera 4 Cabriolet delivers flat, composed cornering and predictable handling, offering dependable high-speed fun without compromise.
