This Porsche Club of America video highlights a unique Porsche 993 Speedster created through Porsche’s Sonderwunsch (custom) program. The car was commissioned by Italian designer Luca Trazzi, who worked closely with Porsche to craft a modern take on the classic Speedster.

Starting with a 1994 Carrera Cabriolet as a donor car, the team reshaped the windshield, widened the body, and updated details like the engine lid, mirrors, and headlights. The interior reflects Luca’s vision, featuring a checker-pattern design, carbon fiber accents, and Carrera RS-inspired elements.

Under the hood, it houses a 3.8L Carrera RS engine with nearly 300 horsepower, paired with an RS suspension and six-speed transmission. Finished in a one-off “Otto Yellow,” named after Luca’s dog, the car blends historic 993 DNA with modern technology, including LED lighting and classic Porsche communication systems.

The project took three years from concept to completion, making this the first customer Sonderwunsch 993 Speedster. While the car is built for the European market, its story exemplifies Porsche’s “dream it, we build it” philosophy, merging bespoke design, performance upgrades, and intimate owner involvement.
