Porsche European Delivery
My friend, Kasem, recently completed the Porsche European Delivery program for his new 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 RS in mid-August. For those who don’t already know, Euro Delivery is an option—selectable in the Porsche configurator—which allows customers to “pick up” their cars at either of the main Porsche factories located in Zuffenhausen and Leipzig. Think of it as a vacation you can experience alongside your brand-new Porsche. The general idea is that you’ll drive it a bit, do some sightseeing, and then drop it off for shipping before you head home. Then you’ll rendezvous with it again, when it arrives at your local Porsche Center a few weeks later.
For those of us who reside in North America like Kasem, it’s a relatively big deal as this automatically becomes an overseas trip which demands intense logistical preparation. The conventional Euro Delivery trip consists of a factory/museum tour and a bit of VIP treatment which includes an airport shuttle along with a limited amount of complimentary food and lodging. You’ll also receive hospitality at an assigned Porsche Experience Center, where you’ll be able to drive an equivalent variant of your car on the test track under the tutelage of a Certified Porsche Instructor. When this is all done, the staff there will officially unveil your new car to you in one of the on-site delivery bays.
