Goodwood Festival of Speed: Porsche Fans Rejoice

Special edition 911 GT3 "Earls Court 51" makes debut

Porsche Cars GB celebrated 75 years since the first Porsche arrived in the United Kingdom with a wide-ranging display at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, showcasing the brand’s heritage, performance, personalization capabilities and a collaboration with Disney and Pixar.

Throughout the four-day Festival of Speed, Porsche used one of the world’s premier automotive events to highlight its history in Britain while presenting its latest road and race cars alongside historic models and bespoke Sonderwunsch commissions. The displays reflected both the company’s legacy and its current direction, with vehicles featured on the stand as well as in action on the Goodwood Hillclimb.

Porsche, Disney, and Pixar have joined forces

Among the stand’s most notable attractions was a collaboration between Porsche, Disney and Pixar celebrating the upcoming release of ‘Toy Story 5’. Three bespoke, one-of-one Porsche 911 models inspired by Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie were unveiled at Goodwood before heading to the United States, where they will be sold as part of a charitable initiative benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross and Starlight Children’s Foundation.

The collection featured a Buzz Lightyear-inspired 911 GT3 RS, a Jessie-inspired 911 Targa 4 GTS and a Woody-inspired 911 Carrera T. Each vehicle was individually customized by Porsche’s Sonderwunsch department, with colors, materials and design elements reflecting the personalities and visual identity of the three Toy Story characters.

75 years of Porsche in the UK

Porsche also marked its 75th anniversary in the UK with the 911 GT3 Earls Court 51 Edition, a special model created in collaboration with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur to commemorate the first Porsche cars displayed at London’s Earls Court Motor Show in 1951.

Based on the 911 GT3 with Touring Package, the model features a unique Earlscourtgreenmetallic exterior finish and bespoke leather and corduroy interior details inspired by the early Porsche 356 coupés exhibited in London 75 years ago.

Displayed alongside the anniversary model was a newly recommissioned 1951 Porsche 356, known within Porsche Cars GB and the enthusiast community as the ex-Betty Haig car. Restored in collaboration with Porsche Sonderwunsch, the car shares several design cues with the modern 911 GT3 Earls Court 51 Edition, including matching Earlscourtgreenmetallic paint and heritage-inspired interior trim, linking Porsche’s early years in Britain with its contemporary lineup.

Porsche also highlighted the scope of its personalization program with the Taycan Turbo S Soho House One, a unique Sonderwunsch commission created in partnership with Soho House. Finished in a satin green matching the exterior of Soho House 40 Greek Street, the one-off model incorporates interior materials including distinctive fabrics, burl wood and Truffle Brown leather inspired by Soho Home interiors.

Performance on the Hill

Away from the static displays, Porsche’s latest performance models took to the Goodwood Hillclimb.

The new 911 GT3 Cup made its Goodwood debut ahead of its introduction to the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship in 2027. Porsche Cars Great Britain Junior driver Callum Voisin piloted the race car during the event, continuing the manufacturer’s tradition of showcasing emerging talent on the 1.16-mile (1.87-kilometre) course.

Porsche also used the Festival to present the 911 GT3 S/C in dynamic action for the first time. It was joined by the 911 GT3 with Manthey Kit, a track-focused version designed to further enhance aerodynamic performance and circuit capability.

The brand’s electric performance models were also represented, with the Taycan Turbo GT with Manthey Kit appearing following its Nürburgring-Nordschleife lap record for electric executive cars. The Cayenne Turbo Coupé Electric also demonstrated the next stage in Porsche’s expanding electric SUV lineup.

75 years of Porsche Motorsport

Beyond the Hillclimb and the main manufacturer stand, the Porsche Club Haus served as a gathering point for enthusiasts throughout the Festival. Displays included current Porsche models, Porsche Classic vehicles and exhibits from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart marking 75 years of Porsche Motorsport.

Porsche Club GB also celebrated its 65th anniversary during the event, with members displaying a wide range of vehicles throughout the Goodwood venue.

Taken together, Porsche’s displays at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed reflected the breadth of the brand’s history and evolution in the UK, from the first Porsche 356 models shown at Earls Court in 1951 to today’s GT, electric and Sonderwunsch models, while also highlighting the enthusiasts and communities that continue to shape the marque’s presence in Britain.
