FOR SALE: 1996 Porsche 993 GT2 Clubsport Paint to Sample Ferrari Yellow

1996 Porsche 911 GT2 Clubsport

This rare 1996 Porsche GT2, originally designed for GT2 class racing, is based on the 993 Turbo. It features widened bodywork and is powered by a twin-turbocharged Mezger engine that delivers power to the rear wheels.

Out of the 194 road cars produced, this particular GT2 is one of only 33 equipped with the optional Clubsport package. The Clubsport package increases the engine output to 450 HP and includes a welded roll cage, racing harnesses, fire suppression system, and Recaro bucket seats.

The GT2 stands out with its wide bolt-on fender flares, aggressive front splitter, and a large rear wing with integrated ram-air scoops for engine cooling. To enhance performance, it has a lighter glass windshield, as well as lightweight aluminum bonnet and door panels.

Finished in the rare Paint to Sample color of Ferrari Yellow (Ferrarigelb, 10L), this GT2 rides on factory lightweight 18″ Speedline wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

Inside, the GT2 features a lightweight Clubsport interior that includes a factory-welded roll cage, black Nomex Recaro bucket seats, six-point safety harnesses, a full fire suppression system, and a battery cut-off switch.

Equipped with the Clubsport package, the GT2 is powered by an air-cooled 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine with twin K24 turbochargers, capable of producing up to 450 HP. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission.

The GT2 boasts adjustable factory suspension with solid bushings, a stiffer rear subframe, adjustable anti-roll bars, and variable stabilizers. Its braking system features cross-drilled 12.6″ discs with four-piston aluminum calipers on each corner.

Originally delivered to its first owner in Germany by Porsche Zentrum Ulm, this GT2 later found its way to Switzerland with its second owner in 2012. It is now up for auction and has accumulated approximately 25k kilometers (just under 16k miles) on the odometer.

With its unique paint-to-sample finish and Clubsport package, this exceptionally rare and well-preserved Porsche 911 (993) GT2 from the 1990s is a highly sought-after performance car. It would be a fantastic addition to any collection of prized classics or a thrilling companion for track day enthusiasts.
