At RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction next month, a remarkably specified 1992 Porsche 911 by Singer known as “Paradise Found Commission” is expected to command $1.8 million to $2.2 million. More than a restored classic, this car represents Singer’s contemporary interpretation of the legendary Type 930 911 Turbo, blending air-cooled heritage with modern engineering and usability.
Introduced in 2022, Singer’s Classic Turbo Services expanded the company’s focus beyond naturally aspirated builds to celebrate Porsche’s turbocharged legacy. Using the Type 964 chassis as its foundation, Singer completely disassembles each donor car and rebuilds it to bespoke specifications, combining classic 911 proportions with significantly enhanced chassis dynamics and long-distance touring capability.
This commission began life as a 1992 Japanese-market 911 coupe and is finished in Paint-to-Sample Paradise Blue with Satin Black trim and Satin Carbon accents. Its carbon-fiber bodywork subtly reinterprets the iconic 930 Turbo, including the signature rear-fender “shark fin” stone guard, now transformed into a functional cold-air intake to improve cooling and combustion efficiency.
Power comes from a 3.8-liter twin-turbo air-cooled Mezger flat-six producing 503 horsepower. The engine features electric wastegates and bespoke air-to-water intercoolers, while a Singer-developed six-speed manual transaxle sends power to the rear wheels. Additional performance upgrades include a titanium exhaust, adjustable suspension, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, a nose-lift system, and specially developed Bosch ABS, traction control, and stability control.
The cabin is equally exceptional, trimmed in Singer-exclusive Cinnamon leather with striking blue-and-white woven leather inserts that evoke classic Porsche plaid upholstery. Oatmeal square-weave carpeting, satin anodized aluminum, and Piano Black accents complete the handcrafted interior.
Showing fewer than 230 miles at cataloguing, the “Paradise Found Commission” offers a rare chance to acquire one of Singer’s most sought-after turbocharged creations immediately, bypassing the company’s notoriously long multi-year waiting list.
