FOR SALE: 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS

One of only 100 examples produced for the model year

Built as a road-legal homologation special, the GT3 RS blurs the line between production car and race machine. Its bold graphics and color-matched wheels pay tribute to icons like the early-1970s Carrera 2.7 RS.

The 911 GT3 RS first appeared in 2003 at the end of the 996 generation, evolving from the GT3 and its Cup racecar roots. A new version arrived in 2006 with the 997 generation, featuring revised aerodynamics and a 3.6-liter engine producing 415 horsepower.

By 2009, Porsche updated the GT3 to the 997.2 specification, increasing displacement to 3.8 liters and output to 435 horsepower. The GT3 RS followed in 2010 with 450 horsepower. Production of the 997.2 GT3 RS 3.8 is estimated at around 1,619 units, with roughly 100 built for 2011, making it one of the rarest single-year 911 variants.

This 2011 example, now listed on Bring a Trailer, is one of 541 units delivered to the U.S. over two years and shows just 10,000 miles. Finished in Grey Black with White Gold accents, it rides on 19-inch center-lock wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires, with a front-axle lift system, sport-tuned suspension, and ceramic-composite brakes.

Inside, the cabin includes an Alcantara steering wheel with a yellow center stripe, carbon-backed sport seats in black leather with yellow plaid inserts, and matching yellow details throughout. A roll cage, climate control, Porsche Communication Management, and carbon-fiber trim round out the interior.

Power comes from a 3.8-liter Mezger flat-six with VarioCam, titanium rods, and dry-sump lubrication, delivering 450 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque through a six-speed manual and limited-slip differential to the rear wheels.
