Chris Harris drives the Porsche 911.1 GT3 RS on both public roads and a race circuit, showcasing its track-focused performance. The GT3 RS features a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six producing 500 hp, paired with a PDK dual-clutch transmission.
Compared to the standard GT3, it has a wider body, reduced weight from carbon-fiber panels and a magnesium roof, and significantly more aerodynamic downforce from its large rear wing and aggressive aero. On the road, the GT3 RS feels wider but extremely grippy, with sharper front-end response and stronger midrange than the GT3. Despite its track focus, it remains usable and reasonably comfortable with adjustable dampers and normal road-car features.
On track, the car’s capabilities stand out. Massive tires, advanced suspension, and rear-wheel steering deliver exceptional grip, balance, and braking performance. Harris notes increased traction and sharper handling over the GT3, with the chassis allowing controlled slides while remaining stable. He concludes the GT3 RS is a highly capable and exciting track car, offering significantly more performance than the standard GT3.
