The 991-generation GT2 RS arrived in 2017 as the most powerful production 911 ever built at the time. At its heart is a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six producing 700 horsepower, delivered exclusively to the rear wheels through a seven-speed PDK transmission.
Capable of rocketing from 0–60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 211 mph, the GT2 RS cemented its legend when Porsche factory driver Lars Kern set a production-car lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife on September 20, 2017. That record car was fitted with the Weissach Package, which uses extensive carbon fiber—covering the roof, anti-roll bars, front trunk lid, and more—plus lightweight magnesium wheels to cut roughly 40 pounds, resulting in a curb weight of just 3,241 pounds.
This 2019 911 GT2 RS currently listed on Bring a Trailer showcases what’s possible when informed enthusiasts carefully spec their cars. Finished in GT Silver Metallic, it was ordered with the Weissach Package, further reducing mass through carbon-fiber components and incorporating NACA ducts in the front trunk lid to improve brake cooling.
In October 2025, Porsche of Nashville upgraded the car with a Manthey Racing performance kit. This comprehensive package adds revised aerodynamic elements, a larger intercooling system, four-way adjustable suspension, braided brake lines, staggered magnesium wheels with rear carbon-fiber aerodiscs, a carbon-fiber underbody, and a carbon-fiber rear deck lid.
Inside, the cabin is equally focused. Carbon-fiber full bucket seats trimmed in black leather with red Alcantara inserts feature “Weissach RS” embroidery, complemented by red seatbelts and contrast stitching throughout the interior. A lightweight, two-tone steering wheel with carbon-fiber shift paddles fronts the driver, while the Sport Chrono Package adds a dashboard-mounted stopwatch.
Additional amenities include carbon-fiber trim, aluminum pedals, WeatherTech floor mats, automatic climate control, a CD stereo with Bose audio, illuminated carbon-fiber door sills, cruise control, and Porsche Communication Management with navigation.
