Singer Presents the “Sorcerer”

First Porsche 911 Reimagined through DLS Turbo Services

Singer, the California-based luxury specialist that restores and reimagines classic Porsche 911s in collaboration with their owners, presents the first car reimagined through DLS Turbo services and reunited with its owner. Singer’s clients often name their car at the start of the restoration, and in this case the owner chose “Sorcerer.”

Rob Dickinson, Singer’s Founder, Executive Chairman, and Creative Director explains: “With DLS Turbo we wanted to celebrate the 911’s evolution as an icon on both road and track and to explore the possibilities offered by turbocharging the remarkable engine developed through the DLS program. Each car is a collaboration with our clients around the world, and DLS Turbo services are our most ambitious yet, so seeing Sorcerer ready for its owner to drive is a very exciting moment for us and a fantastic way to start the year.”

Highlights

  • This Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer has been named Sorcerer by its owner and is specified in graduated Fantasia Blue, with a track-focused rear wing and front fascia, and 7-spoke magnesium centre-lock wheels finished in Champagne.
  • The owner has specified seats trimmed in Pebble Grey leather with Pearl Grey Alcantara seat centres, and Champagne piping. The interior bright trim is specified in Champagne with satin carbon fibre selected for the lower interior environment.
  • DLS Turbo services incorporate a twin-turbocharged, 9000rpm, 3.8L flat six, restored and developed by Singer, combining expertise in turbocharging with the remarkable engine developed through DLS services.
  • The reborn flat six is based on the Type 964’s engine and develops over 700HP and 750Nm of torque with 3.8L capacity, 4-valves per cylinder, twin turbochargers with variable turbine geometry, water-cooled cylinder heads, air-cooled cylinders and an electrically powered horizontal fan.
  • Sorcerer is restored around the original Type 964 monocoque, augmented with chassis strengthening, and wears lightweight carbon-fibre bodywork inspired by the rare 934.5 endurance racer from the late 1970s.
  • Latest generation ABS, traction control, and electronic stability control, developed with Bosch, are combined with selectable drive modes, a manual six-speed gearbox and rear-wheel drive.
  • Each Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer is personalized at the request of its owner, with DLS Turbo restorations carried out at Singer’s UK facility.

The restoration begins when a Porsche 911 (Type 964) is sent to Singer for a fully personalized rebuild. Each car is completely disassembled down to its steel monocoque, which is carefully assessed, strengthened, and prepared as the foundation for the restoration.

Drawing on experience from the DLS program, Singer develops a new 3.8-liter flat-six featuring water-cooled cylinder heads, air-cooled cylinders, an electric fan, and twin variable-geometry turbochargers. Producing over 700 hp and 750 Nm of torque, the engine revs beyond 9,000 rpm and is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. A raised, exposed shifter and lightweight Inconel-titanium exhaust emphasize both performance and craftsmanship.

Carbon-fiber bodywork blends classic 911 design with modern aerodynamics informed by CFD analysis, reducing weight and increasing stiffness. Owners may choose road- or track-focused configurations; Sorcerer is finished in a track-oriented form, painted Fantasia Blue with satin carbon and black-anodized trim.

The interior is bespoke, featuring Pebble Grey leather, Alcantara accents, Champagne trim, and hand-built floating gauges. Technology is integrated discreetly, while a rear cross-brace reinforces the driver-focused environment.

Performance is supported by advanced suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, magnesium center-lock wheels, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Five selectable drive modes allow drivers to tailor stability and traction systems to conditions. As with every Singer restoration, Sorcerer reflects its owner’s individual vision throughout.
