Within the 911 range, the Carrera S is often considered the sweet spot between the base Carrera and the higher-end Turbo or GT3 models. It offers engaging driving dynamics, rear-wheel drive, and manual transmission options without the extreme compromises of the track-focused variants.
Under the rear deck sits a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six, producing 443 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque, paired to Porsche’s 8-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox. It’ll do 0–60 mph in about 2.9 seconds and the quarter mile in 11.1 seconds at 126 mph. Fuel economy is 18 city / 23 highway, and the car weighs just over 3,500 pounds. A seven-speed manual is also available on 992.1 models.
