Mat Watson from carwow reviews the new Porsche 911 Turbo S which features revised styling, new vents for hybrid intercoolers, updated lights, larger brakes, and optional cosmetic upgrades. Inside, changes are minor, with new trim, a fully digital display, and small material updates.
The biggest change is the hybrid-assisted 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six. Electric turbos harvest energy to power an electric motor in the gearbox, improving response and reducing lag. The system is rated at 711 hp, but dyno testing shows around 725 hp and higher-than-claimed torque.
The car accelerates from 0–60 mph in about 2.4–2.5 seconds and feels quicker and more responsive than the previous Turbo S, especially at low speeds. Improved suspension, active anti-roll control, and standard carbon-ceramic brakes enhance handling, while new tires reduce road noise but slightly limit top speed.
The car feels extremely stable and easy to drive fast thanks to all-wheel drive, active chassis systems, and rear-axle steering, while improved sound insulation reduces road noise at cruising speeds. On twisty roads and the Autobahn, the Turbo S delivers relentless acceleration and strong braking performance, though traffic limits top-speed testing.
