Following its first East Coast gathering at Luft 11 in Durham, Luftgekühlt is heading south. The group has confirmed Atlanta, Georgia as the host city for Luft 12, scheduled for Saturday, October 10, marking another step in its steady expansion across the United States.
The decision comes on the back of strong turnout and reception in North Carolina, reinforcing the brand’s growing national reach. What began as a niche celebration of air-cooled Porsches has continued to evolve into a broader cultural platform—one that blends cars with art, design, and community in a format that has resonated well beyond its original audience.
Atlanta offers a fitting stage. Located near Porsche Cars North America headquarters and the Porsche Experience Center Atlanta, the city carries both symbolic and practical weight for the next installment. Luftgekühlt has also established roots in the region through prior events at Road Atlanta, a circuit widely regarded as one of North America’s most iconic. The track is home to the Petit Le Mans, which takes place just one week before Luft 12—timing that could draw notable figures and machinery from the motorsport world.
As with previous editions, Luft 12 is expected to extend beyond a traditional car show. The event will again merge automotive heritage with elements of art and culture, a hallmark that has helped define the brand’s identity. Atlanta’s accessibility—anchored by one of the world’s busiest airports—positions it as a convenient destination for attendees traveling domestically and internationally.
The city’s own ties to automotive history add further context. Corporate giants such as Coca-Cola have long been associated with Porsche’s racing legacy, backing iconic machines like the 935 and 962. Combined with Atlanta’s expanding presence in the art and film industries, the setting offers a diverse backdrop for storytelling within the air-cooled Porsche community.
“Atlanta felt like a natural next move for us,” said Patrick Long, founder of Luftgekühlt and Air|Water. “Being so close to Porsche’s U.S. home adds another layer to the experience, and we’re excited to bring the community together there this fall.”
The Atlanta announcement arrives as Luftgekühlt continues a period of sustained growth. Following its recent debut in Tokyo, the brand has signaled further global expansion, with additional events expected to be announced in the coming months. Central to that trajectory is a continued emphasis on experiences that connect enthusiasts across generations while broadening the cultural lens through which Porsche is celebrated.
More details—including the exact venue and ticketing information—are expected to be released in the lead-up to October.
