Hoonigan and Akira Nakai Unveil RWB Porsche 997 Giveaway With $35,000 Cash

One-Off RWB Porsche 911 Carrera S Named Souseiki

Hoonigan has partnered with RAUH-Welt Begriff (RWB) founder Akira Nakai to create a one-off Porsche 911 Carrera S (997) that will be awarded to a sweepstakes winner alongside $35,000 in cash. Named Souseiki, the Guards Red widebody Porsche was built by Nakai in front of a live audience over two days, marking Hoonigan’s first public, start-to-finish vehicle build.

The giveaway runs through December 31, 2026, with entries available through Hoonigan, Rotiform and participating Rotiform dealers. The project also reunites two names whose relationship dates to the earliest RWB Porsche builds in the United States.

Akira Nakai Transforms the Porsche 997 Carrera S

Inspired by Japanese grassroots endurance racing, Souseiki features Nakai’s signature RWB widebody conversion, custom Rotiform x RWB forged three-piece wheels and Yokohama ADVAN Apex tires. Bilstein coilovers complete the principal suspension upgrades.

BBi Autosport fabricated a custom StreetCup harness bar and cat-back exhaust, while the interior receives OMP RT racing seats with six-point harnesses. A limited-release, individually numbered Hoonigan x RWB 15th-anniversary steering wheel and matching shift knob complete the cockpit.

The exterior is protected by Evolv Clear Paint Protection Film. Although the build incorporates motorsport-inspired equipment, Hoonigan describes Souseiki as a car intended to be driven rather than preserved as a static showpiece.

A Connection to Hoonigan’s First RWB Porsche

The collaboration revisits a relationship established in early 2011, when Nakai built the first RWB Porsches in the United States. Among them was Hoonigan co-founder Brian Scotto’s Porsche 964 Turbo, transformed into an RWB creation named Hoonigan.

Nakai named the new 997 Souseiki, meaning “Genesis,” to acknowledge that shared history as both brands mark their 15-year milestones.

“Building this 911 with HOONIGAN brings back memories of Scotto’s original car and how we started together,” said Nakai. “RWB has always been about more than how the cars look. At the Idlers 12 Hour, we drive them hard.”

Hoonigan RWB Porsche Giveaway Deadline and Documentary

The sweepstakes winner will receive Souseiki and $35,000 in cash. Entries close December 31, 2026, with official eligibility requirements, entry methods and rules available through Hoonigan’s giveaway website.

Hoonigan also plans a documentary featuring Nakai, Scotto and Alexi Smith, examining RWB’s Japanese motorsport roots and the Idlers 12-Hour endurance race. The film is scheduled to premiere on Hoonigan’s YouTube channel on November 23 at 9 a.m. Pacific.
