FOR SALE: 2019 Porsche 935

Number 76 of a strictly limited production run of 77 units worldwide

Set to cross the block at Mecum Auctions on May 16, this 2019 Porsche 935 represents one of the most exclusive modern interpretations of Porsche’s racing heritage. Showing just 40 kilometers from new, the car is chassis No. 76 of a strictly limited production run of 77 units worldwide—an allocation originally reserved for the marque’s most loyal VIP clientele.

First revealed in late 2018 at the Rennsport Reunion VI at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, the modern 935 was conceived as a track-exclusive homage to the legendary Porsche 935/78. Its design channels the unmistakable “Moby Dick” aesthetic through elongated long-tail proportions, slantnose front bodywork, and dramatically flared arches, all executed with extensive carbon fiber composite construction.

This particular example is further distinguished by a factory-applied Martini Gray paint-protection wrap, reinforcing both its visual identity and preservation. Beneath the sculpted bodywork lies a formidable twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine producing 700 horsepower, paired with Porsche’s rapid-shifting 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission operated via paddle shifters.

The drivetrain is complemented by advanced engineering systems including direct fuel injection, Porsche Stability Management with traction control, and a fully independent suspension setup with coilovers. Stopping power is delivered through ventilated four-wheel disc brakes, housed within center-lock BBS wheels—hardware engineered for sustained high-performance track use.

The cockpit features a single carbon fiber Recaro racing seat with a six-point harness, a multifunction yoke-style carbon steering wheel, and a fully integrated roll cage. Safety provisions extend to a roof-mounted escape hatch and an electrically activated fire-suppression system, while dual-zone air conditioning adds a rare layer of driver comfort. At the rear, exposed titanium exhaust outlets and LED lighting integrated into the towering rear wing underscore the car’s singular purpose.

Offered with comprehensive documentation—including a vehicle data sheet, roll cage certification, and original Porsche invoice—this example is further enhanced by an extensive spares package. Accompanying components include additional front and rear body panels, multiple wheel sets, brake hardware, factory tools, and a passenger-spec Recaro racing seat with mounting provisions.
