Broad Arrow returns to Air|Water in 2026 for its third year as the event’s official auction partner, presenting a curated, Porsche-only sale highlighted by a 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 estimated at $1,000,000–$1,150,000.
Developed under GT boss Andreas Preuninger, the GT3 RS 4.0 was conceived as the ultimate evolution of the GT3 and a send-off for the legendary Mezger engine architecture, which traces its roots to the 1996 Porsche GT1.
It features the largest-displacement engine ever fitted to a 911 at the time—a 4.0-liter flat-six producing 500 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and 339 lb-ft of torque at 5,750 rpm. This output was achieved through race-derived components, including a GT3 RSR crankshaft, titanium rods, forged pistons, revised valve timing, and a center-exit exhaust.
The package is completed with a six-speed manual gearbox, carbon-ceramic brakes, center-lock 19-inch wheels, and Michelin Cup tires. Extensive lightweight construction—carbon-fiber panels, a lightweight intake system, and pared-down interior materials—keeps weight to just 2,998 pounds with fuel.
Finished in Carrara White with a Black and Red leather and Alcantara interior, the car features aggressive aero detailing, including a large rear wing set at a 9-degree angle and front dive planes, contributing to approximately 426 pounds of downforce at its 193 mph top speed.
This example, number 184 of 600 units, also includes desirable options such as the Front Axle Lifting System, Sound Package Plus, Sport Chrono Package (without PCM), adaptive sports seats with memory, and Bluetooth-enabled audio.
