FOR SALE: 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS

Number 465 of only 500 GT2 RS models produced worldwide

Widely regarded as one of the greatest driver-focused 911s ever built, this 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is now available on Bring a Trailer. Developed as the ultimate evolution of the 997-generation GT2, the GT2 RS debuted in 2010 as the most powerful production 911 Porsche had ever created. By combining significant weight reduction with increased turbocharged performance, Porsche engineered a machine that elevated the already formidable GT2 into true supercar territory.

Engineers removed approximately 68 kilograms through an extensive lightweight program that included a carbon-fiber hood, lightweight center-lock wheels, a single-mass flywheel, aluminum body components, thinner carpeting, and numerous weight-saving refinements throughout the car. At the same time, revised turbocharger boost pressure unlocked an additional 90 horsepower from the legendary 3.6-liter Mezger twin-turbo flat-six, resulting in an impressive factory output of 620 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque.

This example is chassis number 465 of only 500 GT2 RS models produced worldwide. Registered in California since 2012, it has accumulated approximately 7,000 miles and is finished in Carrara White over a Black leather and Red Alcantara interior. A six-speed manual transaxle sends power exclusively to the rear wheels through a locking differential, preserving the analog driving experience that has made the GT2 RS an icon among enthusiasts.

Distinctive RS styling includes a carbon-fiber front hood, carbon-fiber side air intakes, aluminum doors, titanium exhaust outlets, and a lightweight hood decal replacing the traditional Porsche crest. Additional exterior highlights include xenon headlights, a fixed rear wing, rain-sensing auto-dimming mirrors, and gold-refinished 19-inch GT2 RS center-lock wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. Standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) provide exceptional handling precision and braking performance.

Inside, lightweight carbon-fiber Sport bucket seats trimmed in Black leather and Red Alcantara reinforce the car’s motorsport-inspired character. Matching Alcantara and leather extend across the dashboard and door panels, complemented by contrast stitching and carbon-fiber interior trim. Rear seats were omitted to reduce weight, while premium amenities such as Porsche Communication Management with navigation, Bluetooth, automatic climate control, cruise control, and Sound Package Plus maintain everyday usability.

The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel features a yellow center marker, framing a 6,800-rpm tachometer and 225-mph speedometer, while the Sport Chrono Package Plus adds the signature dashboard-mounted stopwatch. As one of the rarest and most focused Mezger-powered 911s ever produced, this low-mileage GT2 RS represents a landmark chapter in Porsche’s high-performance legacy.
