A highly bespoke 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera, reimagined by California-based Singer Vehicle Design, is listed for sale on Bring a Trailer. Completed in September 2025, this extensively restored example combines classic 964-generation styling with carbon-fiber construction, upgraded chassis components, and a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter air-cooled flat-six producing a reported 390 horsepower.
Founded in 2009 by former Catherine Wheel frontman Rob Dickinson, Singer has established a reputation for transforming Porsche 964-generation 911s into meticulously engineered performance machines. Each project begins with a steel unibody that receives structural reinforcement before being fitted with lightweight carbon-fiber body panels. The result preserves the recognizable character of the original 911 while incorporating modern materials, engineering, and craftsmanship.
This example is finished in paint-to-sample Sapphire Blue with subtle ghosted side stripes, Gotta Have It Green Porsche lettering, and nickel-plated brightwork. Distinctive details include an externally accessible fuel filler centered in the hood, an external oil filler on the right-rear quarter panel, and a nickel-plated Singer badge above contrasting green reimagined lettering.
The car rides on nickel-finished 17-inch Fuchs-style front wheels and Minilite rear wheels, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Its performance-oriented suspension features a body-color front strut brace and Öhlins two-way adjustable dampers with aggressive-road tuning. Braking is handled by a Brembo system derived from the Porsche 993 Turbo, featuring drilled and ventilated rotors and Gotta Have It Green calipers.
The cabin is upholstered in Oxford Blue Connolly leather, complemented by leather-weave inserts across the Recaro eight-way adjustable touring seats, dashboard fascia, door panels, and rear seating area. Black leather appointments, nickel-plated ventilation grommets, drilled pedals, and bespoke Singer detailing further distinguish the interior. A leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel with a green center stripe sits ahead of early-style instrumentation, highlighted by an 11,000-rpm tachometer.
Power comes from a rebuilt, naturally aspirated air-cooled flat-six displacing 4.0 liters. Singer rates the engine at 390 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque. Individual throttle bodies, a ceramic-coated intake plenum, and a titanium-muffler dual-center-exit exhaust system complete the powertrain specification. Power reaches the rear wheels through a close-ratio six-speed manual transaxle equipped with a limited-slip differential.
Additional equipment includes automatic climate control, power windows, and a Porsche Classic stereo with navigation, bi-xenon headlights, polycarbonate front lenses, bullet-style side mirrors, and a retractable rear spoiler incorporating a tinted acrylic screen. Full-body paint protection film was applied during the build.
