For years, Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus (PCCM Plus) has been one of the brand’s most popular retrofit upgrades, bringing modern infotainment and connectivity to older Porsches while retaining a factory-style appearance. Now Porsche is expanding the system to more than 300,000 911, Cayman and Boxster models built between 2009 and 2016.
The latest PCCM Plus is available in two model-specific versions covering the 987.2 and 997.2 generations from model years 2009–2013 and the 981 and 991.1 generations from 2012–2016.

Designed to integrate with the vehicle’s existing electronics, PCCM Plus features a seven-inch high-resolution touchscreen and, where originally equipped, can also be controlled through the multifunction steering wheel. Existing vehicle settings remain supported, while navigation instructions and music information can be displayed in the instrument cluster.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, connecting through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Depending on local regulations, you can also watch YouTube videos while the vehicle is stationary. Owners can even configure the on-screen vehicle graphic to match their Porsche’s exterior color.
Additional features include map-based speed-limit information, oil temperature and pressure displays, satellite-image navigation and Porsche’s Scenic Roads function, which can select winding, scenic routes. On Boxster and Cayman models, the system also adds a visual display to the existing acoustic parking sensors.
Connectivity includes DAB, HD Radio, FM and AM tuners, Bluetooth audio streaming with track and artist information, support for existing factory sound systems, and internal and external microphones. A nano-SIM slot with 4G connectivity and interfaces for external media sources are also included, while navigation maps can be updated over the air.
The new PCCM Plus systems are available through Porsche Centers worldwide. Feature availability varies by model and vehicle specification, and some functions require an active internet connection. Porsche recommends installation by an authorized Porsche Center.
