While the earlier 997 variant was derived from the naturally aspirated Carrera GTS, the newer model significantly elevates performance by utilizing the powertrain from the 992 Turbo. Unlike the standard Turbo, however, the Sport Classic channels power exclusively to the rear wheels and pairs it with a manual gearbox instead of Porsche’s PDK transmission and all-wheel-drive system.
Although it retains the Turbo’s muscular wide-body stance, Porsche deleted the side air intakes to achieve a more refined and timeless appearance.
