A beautifully executed 1989 Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer—known as “The Ramatuelle Commission”—is set to be offered without reserve by RM Sotheby’s, carrying an estimate between $1.15 million and $1.30 million. Completed in 2022 by Singer Vehicle Design, this bespoke build was commissioned for a client based in Ramatuelle, a picturesque town near Saint-Tropez in the south of France.
Built on the foundation of the Type 964-generation 911, this example is notably specified with an all-wheel-drive configuration—an uncommon and highly desirable feature among Singer commissions.
Power is derived from a 4.0-litre flat-six engine, paired with a six-speed manual transmission, delivering a driving experience that blends classic 911 character with modern performance. Complementing the drivetrain are premium components including Öhlins adjustable suspension, large Brembo braking hardware, and a lightweight carbon-fibre roof.
Finished in Porsche’s elegant Amazon Green—a heritage shade originally introduced in the early 1990s and now revived through Porsche’s Paint to Sample program—the car presents with a refined yet distinctive aesthetic. Exterior detailing includes nickel-finished bumperettes and rear badging, while Fuchs-style wheels and Aubergine brake calipers add subtle but deliberate visual contrast.
Inside, the cabin is upholstered in rich Tintoretto leather, creating a warm interplay with the deep green exterior. The interior showcases Singer’s hallmark craftsmanship, with custom dual-stripe woven inserts on the Touring-spec seats and matching door panels.
A leather-wrapped Momo Prototipo steering wheel sits ahead of classic early-style 911 gauges, while modern amenities such as the Porsche Classic Navigation system with Apple CarPlay and an upgraded audio system ensure contemporary usability.
Having covered just under 4,100 kilometers since its completion, the Ramatuelle Commission has recently been serviced by Singer’s authorized partner in the Netherlands and remains in exceptional condition. Eligible for Singer’s Encore warranty program, this meticulously specified example represents one of the most compelling iterations of the firm’s celebrated Classic Services—offering a rare blend of bespoke luxury, engineering precision, and everyday drivability.
