[This 1990 Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – DLS Turbo, known as “The Sepang Commission,” is expected to sell for $3,450,000–$5,000,000 USD through RM Sotheby’s, with bidding opening March 18, 2026. One of only 99 DLS Turbo restorations, it was commissioned by a dedicated Singer collector and exemplifies the brand’s meticulous approach.
The car comes with both track- and road-focused bodywork, stored in bespoke cases for quick configuration changes. Built from a stripped and reinforced 964 chassis, the 3.6L M64 flat-six has been expanded to 3.8L with twin turbochargers, water-cooled heads, and air-to-water intercooling, producing 710 bhp and 750 Nm of torque.
Carbon-fiber bodywork, designed using computational fluid dynamics, balances aerodynamics with visual flair, and the car’s paint-to-sample Wolf Blue finish is complemented by dark blue-tinted carbon fiber and champagne anodized detailing, including turbofan magnesium wheels and brass rear badging.
The interior blends Bone leather and Alcantara with dark blue carbon accents, featuring touring seats with embossed ‘DLST’ headrests and a steering wheel trimmed in Alcantara and leather. Both track and road rear decklids and front fascias, plus an extra set of clear corner lights, provide full configuration flexibility.
Fresh from restoration with break-in miles completed by Singer Vehicle Design, “The Sepang Commission” is arguably the most extreme and visually striking type-964 Porsche 911 ever reimagined. It represents a rare chance to acquire a showcase of Singer’s ambitious turbocharged engineering and bespoke craftsmanship.
