Redline Reviews tests the updated 2025 Carrera 4 GTS T-Hybrid, the first electrified 911, combining refreshed styling with a new hybrid-assisted flat-six. The 3.6-liter turbocharged engine uses an electric turbo and a motor integrated into the PDK transmission, powered by a small 1.9-kWh battery. Total output is 532 hp and 449 lb-ft, enabling 0–60 mph in about 2.9 seconds with all-wheel drive, while adding only about 100 lb over the previous model.
Styling updates include revised headlights with integrated turn signals, larger cooling intakes unique to the hybrid, updated taillights, and subtle aerodynamic changes. Practicality remains strong with a usable frunk and optional rear seats for extra storage.
On the road, the hybrid system delivers instant throttle response and seamless power with virtually no turbo lag. Acceleration feels comparable to older Turbo models, while steering precision, grip, and ride quality remain excellent. The result is a faster, more advanced 911 that preserves the model’s everyday usability and driver appeal.
