Zygrene reviews a heavily optioned 2023 Porsche 992.1 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet, essentially a Carrera S upgraded with performance, tech, and comfort enhancements. It packs a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six making 473 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed PDK and Turbo-derived PASM Sport Suspension. Other highlights include six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, and 20/21-inch wheels.
The interior impresses with 18-way sport seats, high-quality materials, integrated infotainment, and a fully heated steering wheel. Visibility from the side digital displays can be tricky for taller drivers, but overall comfort and build quality are excellent.
On the road, the Cabriolet feels powerful and precise. Rear-wheel drive preserves classic 911 steering feedback, and the suspension manages corners and uneven surfaces confidently. Launch control showcases rapid straight-line performance, and the PDK shifts smoothly. At 3,600 lb, it remains composed and agile, even in wet conditions.
