Watch this onboard hot lap at Monza as sport auto test driver Paul Englert hammers the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport around the Grand Prix circuit, stopping the clock at 1:48.10 during one of the Porsche Track Experience’s ultra-exclusive training sessions.
The 700-hp track weapon he’s piloting traces its roots back to the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, where it appeared alongside the first 992-generation 911 as the last, ultra-limited evolution of the 991 platform. Designed exclusively for racing, the GT2 RS Clubsport was Porsche’s most potent GT customer car and a fully turnkey entry for global Clubsport programs and private track days.
It carries over the road-going GT2 RS’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six—still making 700 hp and 553 lb-ft—paired with a PDK transmission and rear-wheel drive. The motor benefits from a water-spray charge-air cooling system and a freer-breathing racing exhaust.
