In a recent video from AutoTopNL on YouTube we get to see them push the limits of a Porsche 964 built by REEN Cars from Germany. This isn’t your typical 964 — it’s powered by a GT3 engine and dubbed the RSGT, a restomod that could set a new benchmark for the genre.
The car began life as a Carrera 4 for its stronger chassis. It retains a G50 gearbox with improved linkages, finely tuned power steering, Brembo brakes, and KW suspension. The setup balances agility and comfort beautifully, giving the 964 sharp responses without losing refinement. It runs 18-inch wheels like the 964 RS 3.8, with slightly narrower tires for liveliness.
At its heart is a 997 GT3 3.6-liter flat-six — a water-cooled engine inside an air-cooled chassis. It delivers about 400 hp paired with a 964 five-speed gearbox, modified with custom gear ratios. The engine’s responsiveness peaks near 8,200 rpm, with a single-mass flywheel and re-engineered airbox designed to maintain both sound balance and power.
During an Autobahn test, the RSGT effortlessly surpassed 300 km/h, remaining remarkably composed and stable — proof that this restomod isn’t just about nostalgia, but serious modern performance.
