RM Sotheby’s to Auction the Exquisite “Abu Dhabi” Singer-Restored 911

This Singer-modified 911 could fetch $1.2 million

Singer Vehicle Design has established itself as the leading restorer of reimagined Porsche 911s, each built on the revered 964-generation chassis and tailored to the tastes of its discerning, high-end clientele.  Finished in Delicate Blue with racing side stripes and “Porsche” script, this exceptional example of Singer craftsmanship is paired with a bespoke Saddle Sand leather interior.

Its air-cooled 4.0-liter flat-six engine—built by famed racing engine specialist Ed Pink—produces approximately 390 horsepower and is matched to a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Ohlins adjustable shocks sharpen handling, while Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes provide formidable stopping power.

Lightweight carbon-fiber panels are used extensively, including the fenders, bumpers, front hood, rear decklid, and roof. Exterior highlights include a centrally mounted external fuel-filler on the hood, an external oil-filler on the right-rear quarter panel, nickel-plated bumperettes, and a gold Singer badge with white lettering. The retractable rear spoiler incorporates a tinted acrylic screen beneath the grille, while additional details include Bi-xenon headlights with polycarbonate lenses, bullet-style mirrors, and nickel-plated brightwork.

Inside, the cabin features four-way adjustable Recaro sport seats with leather-weave inserts and brass grommets, matching woven leather on the door and rear panels, color-coordinated square-weave carpeting with Calico mats, and matte black drilled pedals and footboards.

Comfort and convenience amenities include air conditioning, power windows, and a Porsche Classic navigation system. A black leather–wrapped Momo Prototipo steering wheel and an 11,000-RPM orange-faced tachometer greet the driver. The front luggage area is finished with white diamond-stitched leather.

Known as the “Abu Dhabi” commission, this exceptional Singer-restored 911 will cross the block at RM Sotheby’s upcoming Abu Dhabi auction in December, where it is expected to command up to $1.2 million.
