All the right options

This 1972 Porsche 911T 2.4 MFI Coupe is finished in its original color combination of Silver Metallic (925) with a Black interior, with long-term ownership history, and is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. Factory options per the Certificate of Authenticity include US Equipment, retractable antenna, Comfort Equipment / S Package (velour carpeting, aluminum door sills, 911S moldings, S instrumentation, bumperettes, leather steering wheel, aluminum rocker panels), 6” x 15” Foch forged wheels, front and rear stabilizer bars, automatic front safety belts, tinted glass all around, and Michelin tires.

Classic Porsche Silver

The paintwork is in excellent condition, with tight gaps and panel fit. Exterior details include upgraded European H4 headlights, driving lights, amber turn-signal lenses, and new bumper deco trim. The restored flat 6” Fuch alloy wheels have a factory anodized finish and are mounted to Kumho Ecsta 205/55 R15 tires.

Cockpit

The interior is stunning and was professionally upholstered by Autobahn Interiors in San Diego, California, including the front and rear seats, door panels, rear panels, German velour carpets, and headliner. Complete with VDO instrumentation that has been cleaned, detailed, tested, and are fully functional. The leather-wrapped VDM steering wheel with butterfly horn ring remains in exceptional condition, with a Becker Mexico AM/FM radio.

Upgraded MFI flat-6

Mechanically, this 911 is well-documented. The transmission was completely rebuilt in 2006 by European Performance, Inc. in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Supertec Performance in Fallbrook, California, who rebuilt the MFI pump. The 911 has been regularly serviced, with receipts dating back to 2003. In 2021, European Collectibles performed additional work, including sonic cleaning of the oil tank and cooler, new oil lines, and a new oil-pressure sender. After the 911T was purchased from European Collectibles in 2021, the 2.4L engine was completely rebuilt to 2.7 RS specifications, including a line-bored case by Ollie’s, a rebuilt MFI pump to RS spec, 90 mm Mahle cylinders, a GT1 oil pump, Carrera chain tensioners upgrade, DC40 camshafts, CP Carillo pistons, and a sport clutch. In 2023, Johnson’s Alignment completed a four-wheel alignment and corner balance. Most recently, in 2025, Scott’s Independent performed an oil and filter service, replaced brake hoses, flushed the brake fluid, and installed a new master cylinder.

Collectability

Powered by the matching 2.4-liter flat-six, rebuilt to a 2.7-liter RS-spec, paired with a five-speed manual transmission (Type 915) and four-wheel disc braking system. The result is enhanced performance while retaining the authenticity of the matching engine case. The 911 is offered with restoration invoices, the original owner’s manual, the Technical Specification book, the tool kit, the jack, the space-saver spare, and a photo of the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. A rare opportunity to acquire a numbers-matched long-hood 1972 911T, noted for its one-year-only external oil fill, finished in its original colors with a matching performance 2.7L motor.
