The Singer Dynamics and Lightweight Study (DLS), limited to only 75 hand-built examples, was conceived to explore the ultimate potential of the 964-generation Porsche 911 through extreme weight reduction and advanced engineering. Developed in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering, the project infused Formula One expertise into its aerodynamics, materials science, and chassis design, with guidance from Porsche icons Hans Mezger and Norbert Singer.
At its heart lies a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine producing 500 horsepower and revving to 9,000 rpm, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The engine features titanium connecting rods, four-valve cylinder heads, and a carbon fiber airbox with an active resonator. Weighing just 990 kilograms, the DLS makes extensive use of carbon fiber, magnesium, and titanium components, complemented by Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, EXE-TC adjustable dampers, and forged BBS magnesium wheels.
A Singer 911 Dynamics and Lightweight Study (DLS) known as “Paradise” is listed for sale on Bring a Trailer with just 1,231 miles since its completion in 2021. It’s finished in Albert Blue Pearl with ghosted side stripes and lettering. The car features an exposed carbon-fiber decklid grille and trim, heated windshield, polished nickel accents, raised platinum badging, and black cookie-cutter exhaust tips.
Signature Singer touches include external fuel and oil filler caps, ram-air intake ducts integrated into the rear quarter windows, and LED lighting. It rides on BBS-designed Fuchs-style center-lock magnesium wheels with nickel-tint finishes wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The DLS-specific Brembo brakes use carbon-ceramic rotors with Bosch ABS, ESC, and traction control.
