Singer has definitely earned its place as perhaps the most respected name in the restoration and reimagining of Porsche 911s from 1989 to 1994, all based on the 964-generation chassis and tailored to the exacting standards of its elite clientele.
Offered through RM Sotheby’s upcoming Sealed Drop auction is a standout example—potentially one of the final Classic Study builds from Singer. Known as the Black Watch Commission, this one-of-a-kind creation remains in as-new condition, having accrued only delivery mileage since its completion in January.
It features Singer’s sought-after 4.0-litre flat-six engine, titanium exhaust, five-speed manual gearbox, Öhlins adjustable suspension, carbon fibre roof, and carbon ceramic brakes. While constructed to UK specifications in left-hand drive, it is currently in Southern California and eligible for registration worldwide.
Finished in Oak Green Metallic—a period-correct Porsche color selected at a premium—nickel-coated Fuchs-style wheels and full paint protection complement the exterior. Inside, the Black Watch tartan trim inspired the commission’s name, paired with Espresso leather, Oak Green seat backs, and blue-accented stitching. It also comes with the optional early 911 gauge set and Porsche Classic Navigation with Apple CarPlay. Unique touches include 24-carat gold badging, stock-style door panels, black mesh decklid grill, and USB-C integration.
