Listed for sale on Bring a Trailer, this 2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS represents the ultimate evolution of the type 991 platform and one of the most formidable road-going 911s of its era. When introduced in 2017, the GT2 RS became the most powerful production 911 ever built at the time, combining extreme aerodynamic efficiency, extensive weight reduction, and rear-wheel-drive performance.
At its core is a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six producing 700 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. Power reaches the rear wheels through a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transaxle, limited-slip differential, and Porsche Torque Vectoring. The result is a claimed 0-to-60-mph time of just 2.8 seconds and a 211-mph top speed. The model’s capability was demonstrated spectacularly in 2017, when Porsche test driver Lars Kern established a production-car Nürburgring Nordschleife record in a Weissach-equipped GT2 RS.
This example was purchased new by Roger Penske Jr. through Porsche Stevens Creek in Santa Clara, California. Its paint-to-sample Club Blau exterior is complemented by black upholstery and the $18,000 Weissach Package. The package incorporates additional carbon-fiber components, including the roof panel and anti-roll bars, while lightweight 20-inch front and 21-inch rear magnesium center-lock wheels further reduce mass. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires complete the setup.
Weight optimization extends throughout the body, with carbon fiber used for the hood, front-fender vents, side intakes, mirrors, and rear wing. Performance hardware includes Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes with yellow calipers, adjustable dampers and anti-roll bars, Porsche Active Suspension Management, Porsche Stability Management, rear-axle steering, and a front-axle lift system.
Inside, carbon-fiber full bucket seats feature black leather, Alcantara inserts, and Weissach embroidery. Carbon-fiber trim, red seat belts, aluminum pedals, illuminated sill plates, and body-color accents reinforce the car’s competition-inspired character. The Alcantara steering wheel incorporates carbon-fiber shift paddles and frames red-dial instrumentation, while Sport Chrono adds the signature dashboard-mounted stopwatch.
Additional equipment includes LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Lighting System, dual-zone climate control, navigation, Porsche Communication Management, Bose audio, and a CD player. Paint protection film covers the front end and rear quarter panels, preserving an exceptionally focused example of Porsche’s most uncompromising 991-generation 911.
